we are thankful that my uncle bob was a match + that the day went so well for everyone!

wish we could be up there with everyone....but our hearts most definitely are.

day of the mama-cita.

yes- mother's day was yesterday. but my celebration was tonight with the most amazing boys ever. seriously- i am BEYOND blessed. i had an awesome date night...i will post pictures tomorrow. james, dante, gavin- i love you beyond anything you could possibly imagine.
xoxo- your steppy.

good times with my momma + my aunt glo.
looking forward to many more nights of hilarity!
xo

prayer

my aunt glo + uncle chris.
first of all, theirs is an inspiring love story.
these two are as madly in love today as they have been for over 30 years!
you can feel the love when you are around them.
they are AMAZING parents, great friends + so much fun.
i feel so blessed to be a part of their family.

secondly + my reason for writing today, is that tomorrow is a big day in my aunt's complete recovery from leukemia.
tuesday, she will receive bone marrow from my uncle bob (her brother.)
while she will have many weeks of healing + rest ahead of her, we know that this is the final step of her FULL  recovery.
please pray for my uncle's procedure to be quick + painless (he is scared of needles!) + that the transplant goes better than any of the doctors would hope or imagine + that aunt glo is home + healthy in no time.

thank you for your thoughts + prayers.
all my love.

[ thursday t h a n k s. ]

i have had such a productive week (+ there are only 2 more days in my work week!  woot woot!!)  really though, i got so much stuff done this week + loooove the feeling of being ultra- productive.

i am also super thankful that i get to spend the weekend alone with my husband + catch up (we haven't had any time together (not doing chores or having other plans) since nyc in march) + then we are going to celebrate mother's day with my boys on monday night.  i don't know where we are going...just to be ready at 6:30pm + that the boys need suits.  (!!!!)  i can't wait.

it's been a good week.
nightnight.
XO

lovesit!

today's elizabeth lovesit! item is.....
acupuncture!

seriously, i know some of you are rolling your eyes (COCO!)
but this has changed my life (ok, that may be a bit dramatic...but you get my point...)

i used to get really bad migraines + hated the side effects of the meds.  a friend recommended i see an acupuncturist (thank you bryte!) + i fell in love with the results + how i feel when i leave there... i haven't had a migraine since i began + everything is really starting to feel back on track.

i am not going to lie- there is a wee bit of pain involved once you get to really working on your symptoms + what ails you. (especially the feet!)  but it is so brief (like a milli-second) + afterwards, bliss.  + i don't really dig the hippy-dippy side of what can come with acupuncture...but i can get past it because of how great i feel after treatments.

i could go on + on about the stories of healing through acupuncture...
if you want something other than your traditional general practitioner + being prescribed medicine after medicine- this is it. some insurance is even covering it...+ i have a great referral if you live in charleston...
